Mike Marlin Film Competition

You are invited to submit an original film incorporating one of 4 songs taken from my forthcoming album ‘Man On The Ground’.

The songs "Heartbeat", "Steve McQueen", "Girl From Chelsea Bridge" and "Left Behind" are available to competition entrants now to download in full and instrumental versions. You will be sent a download link during the entry process.

The judging panel of Lee Archer (Director), Marta Sala Font (producer for the Roundhouse BlackBox series and mentor of young aspiring filmmakers at the Roundhouse) and Mike (Marlin) will choose 4 winning films, each receiving a prize of £1000 and 4 runners up each receiving a prize of £500
Entries can take the format of a "music video", however this is not a requirement. Films can made specifically for the competition, or the song (and/or instrumental) can be used to provide a new soundtrack for an existing film. There is no limit to the number of films you may submit to the competition.

In addition, an overall winner will be chosen and given the opportunity to make the official music video for my next single, with a budget of up to £5000. Closing date for entries is 2nd January 2012. Entries must be submitted as YouTube/Vimeo links posted to the official Mike Marlin Facebook page: facebook.com.mikemarlinmusic

Terms and Conditions of Entry

The judges' decision is final. The role of the overall winner in making a video for Mike's next single is subject to the level of experience of the winner, and that role is entirely at the judges' discretion. Entrants agree to allow AMP Music Productions Ltd to use any film entered in any way that they see fit, subject to only to the entrant being appropriately credited. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate ownership rights to any film submitted to allow the films to be freely distributed by AMP Music Productions, and sign a release to that effect if required by AMP Music Productions..
